Howdy! How is it going? Did you have a good weekend? Monday? Tuesday?
Our weekend was pretty low key.
On Saturday, I headed out early for my long run (since Ken was meeting a group for a LONG ride-read 100 miles?!?! in March!!!). My run was going super well. A little chilly here and there, but overall I was dressed pretty much perfect for it. I had 13 miles on tap. I made it home at 12 miles in (to make sure I was home in time for Ken to leave) and had him send Jasper out for my cool down mile. At about 12.5 miles, my knee started to hurt a bit and at 12.6 I had sharp, knife-like pain in the right medial joint line. Like 9/10 pain. Like cant walk pain. Perfect.
I was a bit too far from home for Ken to hear me/see me and of course I dropped my phone at the driveway because I was going to be half a mile from home….dumb. I could have hollered at my neighbors, but didnt want to bother them…slowly but surely I made it home and said a brief goodbye as Ken rolled out. It took about 20 minutes to make it up the driveway.
Spent the rest of the day hobbling around. I still have pain (and have not even tried to run since) but it has gotten much better over the last 2 days. I was able to spin this morning super easy on the bike and am just trying to be good and give it some time. No ortho tests were positive. No popping, clicking….hoping I sprained my MCL or something silly. No idea.
But anyway….back to Saturday….
Mostly sat on the snow while I played with the kiddo. It was super nice out!

On Sunday, we ventured to Church before heading to town. We were supposed to ski (my knee was happy that plans changed!) but it was SOOOO windy that they were shutting down lifts left and right. We ran a couple of errands and returned home for some quality time being lazy. Well, Ken mounted skis and did other guy things 😉
Monday was spent trying to stay off my feet. Ha. Moms dont stay off their feet.
I did manage to convince Brooke to read some books while laying in bed. Jasper and I almost fell asleep. Her, not so much.
It was not a day worth blogging about 😉
Today, though, much more exciting! We decided that we HAD to get out of the house so we headed into town. We grabbed a donut and then went to the pool for a little over an hour. We lucked out and there were several kids Brooke’s age so she had a blast swimming and playing.
Post-pool, we did our grocery shopping before swinging by the park on the way home! A little bit snowy still 😉
Got home to find a bike box on the porch…took me a second to remember that it was mine!! New bike day!!
Or more like, “new bike PUZZLE day”!! Good thing my husband is good at puzzles 😉
Brooke has spent the day leading music with her stuffed animals at Church 😉
We are supposed to see upper 30s tomorrow for her last day of ski school! No complaints here!
Hope that you have had a great few days! Time to make dinner, get the kid into bed and get to grading! So.much.grading.
