Yesterday, I took one picture. It was that kind of day. Good busy.
The picture….paint swatches trying to choose the best paint for an electrical box. More on that later π
Yesterday was filled with some swimming and some errand running. Stocked up on a bunch of groceries and thus had a lot to do when we got home….and then somehow I went into CLEAN THE KITCHEN crazy mode and spent the afternoon scrubbing everything. No biggie.
Not sure why, but I am absolutely in a GET PROJECTS DONE mood right now. Maybe it is the transition into Fall and then fear of Winter (lots of things get pushed to the side in the winter…cant so much as do outdoor projects).
Ken may be in the same boat….projecting!
I also realized that we are totally in a food rut and I NEED so spice things up a bit. Pinterest, I am coming for you.
Anyway, enough of the tangents….onward to today!!
This morning started out with the most gorgeous sunrise. The photo does not do it justice!
Brooke was in the mood to do some playing, so we chilled inside and eventually made it upstairs to completely organize her craft/school/art section of the loft. It is all set for some Pre-school time!
Mid-morning, I got to work on painting the electrical box outside the shop. This was coat one (I got a second on there later) and I hope to finish the bottom tomorrow. Color looks pretty good, right?? I feel like I wear a lot of hats as a work-from-home mom!
In between paint coats, the kiddo and I got to work on Ken’s Ice Cream Sundae Pie for tomorrow night! (His birthday is tomorrow!) Someone was a fan of the chocolate truffle layer π
Pure joy.
Somehow, I feel like I ate about 12 cookies and 14 pounds of ice cream and chocolate in the process. Oops.
Due to my, er, over-indulgence of sugar….I laced these new babies up for a 2.6 mile jog. It was kind of a beat the thunder storm run and Brooke opted out, so I happily just ran near home! So far so good on the shoes. I enjoyed the extra cushion after so many miles in my trail runners this summer. The legs..they are still recovering a bit and were a bit on the sluggish side, but it was better than I expected.
Not far away when I throw on running clothes π
Post-run, I actually managed to do some lifting and core. My goal is to be much better about that after a year of cardio-focused workouts!
Time to start thinking about dinner! Apparently I have a thing for red as kitchen color. Breaded ranch chicken for dinner (as long as I can figure it out!)
Better drag the kid out of the bathtub so I can get my cooking on! Hope you had a fab Wednesday!
