Pearl Izumi Champion Team

on January 28, 2016

Last November, I noticed that Pearl Izumi was taking applications for a cycling ambassador team. I was quite familiar with their run team, but didnt know that were jumping into the cycling realm. To say I was excited would be putting it lightly. First and foremost, I LOVE the culture that PI brings to the table. They are just serious enough, but make sure that fun and love of the sport are even more important. I have friends who have and do work for Pearl and they love(ed) it. It is possible that I also already have a thing for their products…any given ride, I am sporting at least 2-3 articles of Pearl gear…my fave being my mountain/cross shoes-I ride in them about 95% of the year (when I am not in my snow booties or racing a hill climb).

Love my Pearl shoes….even when I cant see them!

After filling out the application I waited impatiently for them to announce the team. A couple of weeks ago, I got the most amazing email (so did my sister in law!!!) saying “Welcome to the team!” EEEEEEKKKKKKK.

It is so exciting to be a part of a family that goes from one side of the nation to the next! We have teammates in California, Colorado, Illinois, New York and every where in between. It has been so neat to see the pictures they are posting on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter (see #ride365  and #endureandenjoy ). People are getting out in all sorts of weather and doing all sorts of things on and off of the bike!IMG_8209

Equally as exciting, they are sending us kits to ride and race in! And…they are adorable!! Pretty much cant wait to check the mail in early March….though, I may be riding in my kit on the trainer or under my snow clothes still!

I feel so blessed to represent Pearl Izumi and to meet some of the other reps as well. Look for us in our red Pearl kits this Spring 🙂
