A Few Workouts and the Zoo!

on August 6, 2015

Hello, Thursday! Yay almost weekend!! Love/hate relationship with weekends this month…love to hang out and play, but each one that goes by means we are closer to school starting 😦 I LOVE teaching and my students, but I am going to miss my days home with the kiddo! Good thing I only teach 2 days a week!

A little gem from our jog on Tuesday….seriously the best running buddies!

Yesterday morning I was sluggish getting out of bed, but managed to hit the road at about 8:40 for an hour of base riding (a little harder than easy, but super sustainable). It was actually pretty chilly out…which was awesome!

Once dressed, the kiddo and I hit the zoo for some wandering! She kinda likes it there πŸ˜‰

Her new kicks ❀

Came home…she decided not to nap…again…so we picked carrots!! YUM

This morning’s workout required a 5:15 alarm so I could be done and back in time for the husband to head to work. I did a warm up, followed by 2 x 10 minute intervals just below and at my threshold. It is always a bit rough for me to hold power in the morning, so I felt pretty accomplished with my numbers πŸ™‚

To top it off, the kiddo was still asleep when I got home! So….I took out the trash, mowed the lawns and showered before she decided to get up! We ate…went to Target and Costco (2 very dangerous stores for this girl!) and then came home for some pool play and some lunch. She is currently attempting to take a nap…my fingers and toes are all crossed! I could use one too. πŸ˜‰

And since this guy hasnt had much face time…
